Elizabeth Heinke - Frogs Instructor

Elizabeth Heinke was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and attended Ohio State University… GO BUCKS! She is a retired “military wife” of 27 years and has raised three sons who graduated from Robinson Secondary School. She now lives and works in the Northern Virginia area and has had the opportunity to volunteer and serve on numerous PTA and Officer Spouse Boards at many military assignments throughout the country. She has also served as a docent at a children’s museum in Florida, volunteered at a homeless shelter in Louisiana, and logged thousands of carpooling hours to art classes, karate, soccer, baseball and band practices! This is her 12th year teaching a Transition class at St. George’s. She resides in Clifton with her husband Ward and 13 year old lab Carmen.
Liz's passion for teaching stems from her beliefs that, "[children] will better grasp classroom concepts best by being a 'participant' instead of an 'observer'. Besides getting each child ready to move on to the next academic year, I want them to feel loved, respected and safe. I am blessed to work at such a wonderful preschool."
